Dan Zastawny is currently an independent consultant providing expertise in energy risk management, technology and commodity economics in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Dan was formerly Vice-President of Natural Gas Exchange Inc. (NGX) responsible for managing the clearing house operations from 2003 to 2010, and managed market development and specifically electricity trading initiatives during his tenure with the exchange.
Dan has sixteen years of experience in the evolving Canadian energy market. During this time, Dan has held various roles including technology development, natural gas scheduling, quantitative risk modeling and regulatory compliance.
Prior to his experience, Dan attended the University of Calgary.
