Mr. Hagerty has over a decade of energy trading experience primarily with EPCOR Merchant and Capital (now Capital Power). He traded the Alberta portfolio from award of the PPAs in 2000 through the transition to deregulation of the Alberta market. Mr. Hagerty was directly responsiblefor managing the Alberta Term and Real-Time Power Trading operations at EPCOR as well as EPCOR's expansions into generation, marketing and trading in the Pacific Northwest and Eastern markets. Mr. Hagerty was also a former Director of Market Services the with the AESO.
Currently, Mr. Hagerty is the President of Madstone Energy Corp. Madstone provides independent hedging and marketing strategy from development and thru to execution for customers exposed to electricity, natural gas, NGL and oil markets for both the consumers and producers. The company alsoprovides Energy Risk Trading System assessment and implementation support to several large producers.
Mr. Hagerty is a Professional Engineer in Alberta and has Master in Business Administration.
