John is a performance driven, people focused leader with over 14 years of combined commercial, analytical and regulatory experience in the energy industry with a solid track record of delivering strategic and goal oriented results. John has held senior leadership positions with publicly traded and non-profit companies within a cross section of the electric energy industry. In his current role with the Alberta Electric System Operator he oversees market analytics and short and long term forecasting activities within Market Services and is responsible for delivering the 20 year transmission system plan.
John brings a depth of business acumen from previous experience in credit risk, trading, commercial operations, analytics, strategic planning, regulatory oversight and integration. John is driven to succeed, has an enterprising spirit, a collaborative approach and is recognized as a strategic thinker.
