Juliane Kniebel-Huebner, NaturEner Canada

Juliane Kniebel-Huebner is since 2008 the Regulatory Director for NaturEner USA & Canada, being responsible for the approval processes of the company’s power plants, transmission interconnections and the interaction with various regulators. NaturEner is operating a “wind only” balancing authority in Montana, and is a shipper owning 300 MW of the northbound capacity on the Montana Alberta Transmission Line. In Alberta NaturEner develops several wind projects, of which the 200 MW Wild Rose 1 project is approved and the Wild Rose 2 project expects approval in Q2 2011. “

 

Juliane has a Master degree in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from the Technische Universitaet Berlin, Germany. She majored in Renewable Energy Technologies and Strategic Management.

 

Before working for NaturEner she worked for the German Wind Association as an advisor on regulation development for “Repowering” movement in Germany. She also worked as a consultant in the Microfinance Sector developing a combination of financial products and renewable energy projects different emerging markets around the world.
