Mike Adams, Vice President, Business Development, Corporate Projects, Talisman Energy

Mike Adams has been the Internal Qualified Reserve Evaluator at Talisman Energy in Calgary since the beginning of 2004.  He is responsible for the preparation, validation, audit and submission of the corporate reserves report and reports to the CEO and the Reserves committee of the Board.

 

Since March of 2005, he has also been responsible for Corporate Business Development reporting to the CFO. He has been involved in several major M&A transactions including the acquisition of BP Colombia, Paladin Resources, Enduring Resources and Rift Energy ; the disposition of producing assets in Denmark, Netherlands, Trinidad, Tunisia and oil sands leases in Canada.  He was also involved with the recent acquisition of shale assets in the Eagelford from Common Resources and Enduring Resources and the farm out of Talisman's Farrell Creek Montney acreage to Sasol of South Africa.

 

He has over 35 years of petroleum engineering experience in Canada, the U.S. and several international arenas. He is a graduate of Imperial College, London and during his career has worked for Shell International, Husky, Petrocanada, British Borneo and ScotiaWaterous.
