Cheryl L. Terry
Cheryl Terry is the president and principal consultant for Twenty-Two Holdings Incorporated (TTHI), an Alberta company providing contract energy services to key clients since 2007. As Principal, Cheryl Terry provides expert energy advice on issues related to Alberta market design and policies, regulatory process management, as well as key strategic leadership and direction throughout the Pacific North West.
Cheryl has extensive and diverse experience in the electricity industry, acting in many senior roles. Prior to starting her own energy practice in 2007, Cheryl was the Director of Market Services, Western Power Group for TransCanada responsible for regulatory and policy direction in western power markets. Previously, Cheryl was the director of Market Development at the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), responsible for wholesale market design and market strategy over her six years with the AESO and its predecessor organizations. In this role, Cheryl was co-chair of the Alberta Wholesale Market Policy Taskforce, initiated by the Alberta Department of Energy to consider market evolution options. Cheryl also spent a number of years with SaskPower prior to coming to Alberta.
A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, Cheryl has a M.A. in economics and extensive experience in the areas of market research, policy analysis, business restructuring, strategic planning, and energy and economic forecasting.
Susan Dowse
Susan Dowse is a consultant with over 14 years of experience working on public, government, and regulatory affairs pertaining to energy sector and other major infrastructure developments. Her primary areas of expertise and interest are stakeholder and community relations; socio-economic impact assessment; policy and regulatory affairs; non-technical risk management; and strategic communications. She has worked on projects in Canada, England, China, Thailand, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Peru, Ecuador and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Susan has also held senior positions with a major energy company (Calpine Corporation), managing all aspects of public, government, and regulatory affairs pertaining to Canadian power and petroleum development and operations. Susan holds a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics.
Amanda J. Barber
Amanda Barber is the President and founder of Capitol Conferences Inc, a professional event planning company. Since 1997, Capitol Conferences has provided expert event management and consulting services for conferences, meetings, seminars and trade shows for a wide variety of North American clients, including several industry-based associations and societies.
Amanda has 20 years of experience in event planning. Prior to moving to Calgary, Amanda worked for a large London-based event planning company organizing major business, scientific and medical conferences throughout the UK and Europe.
